Inspired by Sharon Blackie’s podcast, Hagitude, the new DUST PARLOUR (previously DUST) is hosting a series of Hag Cafes. You are warmly invited to bring your inner or outer hag to DUST to chat and explore our relationship to the wise, disgusting, wild, hideous, terrifying, cannibalistic, funny, compassionate, psychic, weird, odd old woman. All are welcome regardless of age or gender orientation. Perhaps you have always felt closer to hags than princesses?  What is our relationship to this toothless old woman often depicted as eating children? Each cafe will start with a story or myth read with a cup of tea to settle us into an afternoon of getting to know the hag in all her wonderful guises.

 

We will begin with The Baba Yaga.
